 The ideas for the 17m Classic Yacht / Enavigo 56 are to design a nice looking yacht in the spirit of the traditional yachts with maximum elegance and high performance. A yacht created for optimum sailing pleasure and a pleasure to look at, without compromise. To achieve this we will take full advantage of the modern materials and technology. This means a modern below waterline profile with a deep fin / bulb keel and high aspect spade rudder. For the hull construction is chosen wood core method; western red cedar strip planking covered with UD glass fibres in epoxy. This guarantees a light displacement boat and together with a carbon fibre mast it will be a very powerful boat that can carry a lot of sail area. For the deck the craftsmanship of a classic yacht will be used with a small cabin top in style to get the right look.
